Okay, I went on a spree over the holiday weekend and have mystery pics for days now. Here's the first of them. Post your guesses in the comments section below.
it looks to me like a pressed cardboard packing section. Like the kind used to hold electronics in place in their boxes. Packing peanuts of the future! or something like that.

Nope, it's not cardboard of any type
I think that it is a very small thing, but I don't know what. I'm not sure what it's made of... might be plaster of some kind.
Milana is correct, it's the tire to my daughter's bicycle. The white color is probably what threw most people off. Here's another view
