I've been a little lax at posting with the busy weekend, but I thought this was interesting. We found this guy in our pool skimmer and thought he was dead. Since it was a huge moth, I thought I'd show my daughter, who, of course, wanted to keep him.
About an hour later, after he had dried out a little, I thought it might make a cool photo, and when I nudged him he started to move around.
The little feather looking things are actually part of his antennae. Click on the photo for a much larger version.
