Welcome. I'm a photographer from Ashland, Ky., whose day job is creative services manager for an area hospital. Thought I'd create this to share some thoughts and photos. Hope you enjoy.
Friday was my 38th birthday, and my wife surprised me at work with this super cool iPhone cake that she made. I love how much work she put into the icons.
I've been playing with the upgraded camera on my new iPhone, and have found it a neat gadget to have handy. I also got an app that applies some preset camera effects that are pretty neat, and there's a flickr group that's dedicated solely to photos taken with an iPhone. Here are a couple of samples that I've shot so far.
We stopped here this evening in Maysville, Ky., on our way home from Oxford, Ohio. I hadn't even seen this post by Rick Lee when I shot this...funny coincidence.
Some more of Lisa's delicious creations. The frosting is a really pale blue, I just used a purple gel on the backlight to give the purple highlights...the rest is lit with a big soft box from camera right. You get some really good detail when you click on the bigger version.
Yet another amazing cake by my talented wife...this one was for Kenzie's 10th birthday party tomorrow. She wanted something a little more "grown up" this year since she's turning 10. She'll post all the details about it over on her cake blog.
Even though we're keeping him in pre-school another year, Reece got to take part in his class' graduation ceremony this evening. They sang several songs, and he got to walk across stage and get his certificate.
